HOW YOU CAN HELP

The Washington Volunteer Emergency and Rescue Squad counts on the support of the local community. In order to continue to provide the Washington Boro and Washington Twp. with the same level of professional, compassionate EMS and rescue services that have been our trademark since 1936, we need your help in many ways.

The Squad responds to approximately 3,000 calls annually. Your monitory donations help make this possible with our many needed medical supplies and rescue equipment. We also need to ensure that our emergency response vehicles undergo regular maintenance so that they are ready to mobilize at a moment's notice. Rising costs pose a constant challenge that we need your assistance to overcome.

Washington Emergency Squad receives basic and simple funding through municipal contracts and other revenue sources. With that said, Washington Volunteer Emergency Squad still has more bills to pay which many are not covered through these other sources. To help defray these extra and required costs your donations are graciously needed.

We’re a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization; making donations to us are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law. Every penny donated to us is used to help deliver the best emergency medical services we can.

These donations are controlled and professionally maintained through trustees, administration and officers to purchase required equipment, fuel, insurances and supplies.

Here are several ways where you can help......

Basic Donations

Though one of the best resources you can share with the Washington Rescue squad is your time as a member, but we understand that the demands of family and work come first. This having been said, your financial support is also greatly needed and appreciated.

Memorial Donations

A memorial gift to the Washington Emergency Squad is a thoughtful living memorial and tribute to a loved one so that others may be helped. Many persons have found deep satisfaction in making contributions to the Rescue Squad. In this way they have severed the living and paid respectful tribute to the memory of a friend or relative. Should you decide to make such a gift, you are assured that it will have enduring value. An acknowledgement will be sent to the family of the person honored. Your name and purpose of gift will be designated, but the amount of your gift will not be disclosed. You, as a donor, will be sent on official receipt for your tax-exempt contribution. Simply included with your donation, whom the donation is made in memory of and where you would like the memorial card sent, if anywhere.
